The light capacity of the work Sternschnuppe or Shooting Star by Michael Sailstorfer, exhibited on the grounds in front of the Center of Art and Media Technology Karlsruhe, reaches heights. The sculpture comprises a gas-guzzling insurgency-styled ochre colored Mercedez Benz parked on a lawn, apparently in a hurry, with a bulbous street light catapult launcher mounted on the boot like a mortar or rocket launcher, whose 'munition' of light can be shot, and in prior installations, has been shot into the sky as an artificial shooting star.
